The Workshop “CCIS Innovation Training” was held in Venice on November 8-9, 2018 organised by our project partner Ca’ Foscari University.
The two main goals of the workshop were:
- To propose, discuss and share the notion of “smart atmosphere” that characterizes the SMATH project and, based on the illustration of best practices, to provide partner with practical tools to start shaping “creative nests” at the local/regional level
- To invite to a reflection in each region/partners on the site, the actors and processes that would promote a local “smart atmosphere” via the creation of regional/local "Creative Nests" equipped with the capability of assisting creative industries in sourcing and engineering innovative ideas from the core of Cultural engines.
In order to achieve these very important goals, the project team of Ca’ Foscari University has designed a training workshop in two distinct but integrated sessions. In the first one, Prof. Panozzo outlined the notion of “Smart Atmosphere” as it has been constructed in theory and presented a number of models that can be used for further development. Five guest speakers have been also invited to provide further practical tools based on their concrete experience in designing and maintaining initiatives that can be seen as examples of “smart atmospheres”.
In the second session, partners, after gaining all this valuable input from the first session and the knowledge acquired in theory, where requested to apply these and present practical examples of how these could be utilized in their regions. The ultimate goal was to identify for each partner region one or more mechanisms that can be created and stabilized in order to serve as "Creative Nests" that multiply the frequency and accessibility of creative industries to artistic processes, creative artefacts and cultural heritage in a perspective of social innovation
