Save the date – June and July 2020
In order to strengthen the impact of SMATH project, our project partner Friuli Venezia Giulia Autonomous Region has organized four Online Seminars on Culture and Creativity addressed to different target groups.
The seminars will take place between June and July 2020 and they will be held by Professor Pier Luigi Sacco - Senior Researcher and Head of Venice Office at the OECD, leading expert in issues related to the economy of culture, CCIs and European cultural policies, thanks to the many prestigious positions held over the years.
Professor Sacco is Faculty Associate at the Harvard University (Berkman-Klein Center) and Professor of Economic Policy at the Faculty of Art, Markets and Heritage of Culture at the IULM University of Milan.
The first seminar entitled “Europe and culture: opportunity for the years to come”,will take place on June 17th, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. During the event, we will have the opportunity to discuss about the role of culture in the future programming period 2021-2027, with particular reference to Horizon 2020 program and to cohesion policies.
The second seminar entitled “Culture as pre-innovation platform”,will take place on June 24th, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. The focus will be on the relationship between culture and innovation. Participants will have time to show and share their point of view presenting experiences and best practices.
The third seminar will take place on June 29th, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. The event, entitled “Cultural and creative industries: a leading sector for future growth”, is focused on the role of CCIs in the local development mechanisms.
The fourth seminar will take place on July 3rd, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. The event, entitled “The new European Agenda for Culture: the cultural crossover”, focuses on EU strategies for culture and on case studies of collaboration between the CCIs and the traditional sector.
