27.09 | Regione del Veneto & Università Ca' Foscari Venezia
Hosted in the charming location of Villa Settembrini in Mestre, the event was organized by Veneto Region and Ca’ Foscari University as an opportunity to share the first outcomes of the SMATH projects with a wider public. The 13 projects discussed the previous week during the follow-up workshops, were introduced by companies and artists. What we noticed immediately was a dramatic improvement in the way they were presented.
The follow-up meetings worked as rehearsals exactly as imagined and contributed in streamlining the communication process, making the projects easier to understand. Projects that seemed far-fetched in their original incarnations, now had turned into something more realistic and viable. The summer-long coaching carried on by the Ca' Foscari team seemed to start paying some dividends. The presentations were smooth and managed to convey purposefully the goals behind the projects, companies and artists' expectations and a general sense of commitment to the idea art can be instrumental, for companies big and small, in stimulating new perspectives and in creating a fertile ground for innovation.
Stay tuned and follow us in Venice for our final #PitchingEvent in November!
